 Media studies is important as it allows you to analyze the way media is produced and the practices used to make the media. Personally, my favorite media products are music and films. Other media products I consume consist of social media, shows and digital gaming. I access my media though Spotify, Netflix, Instagram, and TikTok. It is important to understand who, why, how, or when media is used to engage audiences as it allows you to understand the type of audiences they are attracting and the people willing to view that piece of media. The factor I find most interesting in Media Studies is, being able to lean how much work and thought was put in to create even a small piece of media. I hope to accomplish a deeper understanding for films and the small details that allow you to find a deeper meaning to the particular film During my blogging journey, I will take notes on important topics to help improve my understanding of Media Studies. I will learn how to manage my time wisely to complete tasks on time. Set goals and personal due dates to motivate me to complete all my work, while making sure I submit on time. Lastly, to try and not procrastinate as I tend to do that often, and to make sure all of my work is done. By doing all of this, it will help me become successful when completing component one as I'll be more engaged and focused on the information pertaining to Media Studies.

Film Planning #3

 My group member and I finally fixed some editing issues where the screen will turn black for a long period of time in between the transition from the home to the school. We also added voiceovers to increase the dialogue for the main protagonist. Here are some of the issues we noticed and attempted to fix: For starters, we noticed that the story is not being portrayed that well and an average viewer may not even notice that the film is about a new student who is worried about going to a new school. To fix this we added more dialogue and voiceovers to emphasize that the student "Christina" is nervous as we wanted to give her more emotion. This is so the audience can relate to our character better and so we can grasp the attention of a specific teen audience.
