Editing: Editing is the process of selecting and preparing written, photographic, visual, audible, or cinematic material used by a person or an entity to convey a message or information. Key terms were to show signs to the story, to put together raw footage, and illuminate personal emotions. 


temporal editing; Temporal editing is when the relations between shots function to control time. The key terms are works to convey the order, duration, or frequency of events.


rhythmic editing- Rhythmic editing is when the relations between shots function to control film pace. The key terms are a shot's physical length corresponds to a measurable duration,  shows flow, and creates tension


action match-film editing and video editing techniques where the editor cuts from one shot to another view that matches the first shot's action. The key terms are to show relationthe  between to scenes, create drama, and show a connection


cutaway-​​a cutaway is the interruption of a continuously filmed action by inserting a view of something else. It is usually followed by a cut back to the first shot. The key terms were to indicate something else in the space, to be dramatic, and to transition.


Dissolve- a type of film transition in which one sequence fades over another. the key terms are to show a transition, submit fear, and cause suspicion.

 superimposition-when two or more images are placed over each other in the frame. The key terms are to add to the overall image effect, to conceal something, or add graphics. 

ellipsis-the omission of action whose importance to the narrative can be inferred from action, including dialogue, preceding and following the omitted action. the key terms were showing what happens before and after what is observed, showing what's left and the emotional effect.,


CGI-digitally-created images in film and television. The key terms are to manipulate what does not exist in the physical environment being captured on film or video, to create illusions, and to bring things that are impossible in human nature.
